Thank You BB King for Givin’ Me the Blues
With the first notes of the first song of the first BB King album that I ever heard, I became a bluesman. Before those few notes, I thought rock music was pretty cool. I had even heard some pretty good blues before that experience. Live, in-person performances by Muddy Waters, Otis Spann, Taj Mahal, Albert King, James Cotton, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Freddie King and others. But it was BB King who lit the flame.
It was quite a few years later that I first saw BB King live. He did not disappoint. I saw him live a number of times over the years and, of course, bought album after album as he released new ones. One of the things that always made me feel good as I worked all those day jobs, was the thought that somewhere in the world, BB King was on tour. No more. Now I REALLY have the blues.
BB King leaves a legacy far greater than the list of albums he released or his thousands of live performances. It is tens of millions of fans around the world and thousands of guitarists like me, who can say things like “Without BB King, there would be no Blues Sheriff.”
Thank you BB King for givin’ me the blues.

We live to have fun and we put on a great show. We bury the idea that blues is sad music. Our blues will make you dance!
Expect humor, and lots of audience interaction. We demonstrate with every performance that, when the band has fun, the audience has fun. Nothing is more exhilarating than band members out in the audience. It always happens. It is wildly popular.
Our concert sets contain many original tunes with a few great covers for a nice mix. In our tight performances, you will recognize the influence of blues greats like BB King, Jr Wells, Freddy King, and Delbert McClinton along with current favorites like Tommy Castro, Love Dogs, and Roomful of Blues.
Oh yeah, and be prepared to dance your ass off! ...it's still legal in Blues County! :-)

I think your CD is fantastic!
My mom was a song writer. I love good lyrics.
You have an excellent voice, I love how clear the words are. You have a real nice deep rhythm section. The keyboard sounds great! - Jesse James Montana
This is a nice selection of blues songs with heartfelt lyrics. The Sheriff sings like he has personally been in some of these situations. The musicality is terrific and I could listen to 'I Should've Known' all day long. - Rusty Campos
On this recording, the Sheriff is ably assisted by Billy "the Pocket" Barner on drums, Joe Hendershot on bass, Brian Lee on guitar, and Doug Skoog on piano. The Sheriff thanks the Blues County Witness Protection Program for the cover provided to these great musicians.
